Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Postgrad Network

The small but significant proportion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander postgraduates among the wider postgraduate community is continuing to rise and most Indigenous students are the first in their families to get a tertiary education. SUPRA not only recognises the historic educational disadvantage that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples have suffered but is committed to both supporting them during their studies and voicing their issues.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Officer – Penny Robin Vlies

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Officer is responsible for representing students in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Postgrad Network and advocating on their behalf.

Hi everyone, my name is Penny Robin Vlies. As a proud Wiradjuri woman and PhD candidate in the history of education, I’m passionate about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander visibility and voice. I’m here to listen and support.
