2025 Supervisor of the Year Awards

2025 Supervisor of the Year Award winners

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2025 SUPRA Supervisor of the Year Awards night. Congratulations to all of the outstanding supervisors who won!

A winner from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences said:

I was delighted to be nominated and totally shocked to win an award. Reflecting on last night I can say that it is a wonderful event for strengthening the bonds of community between postgraduate research students and their supervisors and a lovely opportunity for students to express their gratitude to their supervisors if they wish to do so in this way.

Overall winner

Doctor Xianghai An – Faculty of Engineering.

Dr. An’s nominators Jiayi Sun and Heqing Li said:

He has consistently created opportunities for me to grow, from tutoring to presenting at major conferences. His thoughtful, step-by-step approach helped me conquer a fear I once thought unchangeable, replacing it with confidence and a willingness to take on public speaking challenges that now advance my research career.
