Notice is hereby given for the election of one (1) Queer Officer to the Council of the Sydney University Postgraduate Representative Association for the 2023–24 term. The election will be conducted via an electoral meeting of the Queer Equity Network.

Note: all dates and times in this notice refer to Australian Eastern Standard (Sydney) Time.

Nominations are open from now and will close during the electoral meeting.

Nominations may be submitted via email to the current Queer Officer Joseph Black at jbla7301@uni.sydney.edu.au.

The electoral meeting will occur on Friday 26 May at 18:30 via Zoom. Join the meeting.

The agenda of the electoral meeting will be:

(1) Acknowledgement of Country
(2) Selection of Returning Officer
(3) Close of nominations for Equity Officer
(4) Candidate statements and questions
(5) Voting
(6) Declaration of results

The vote will be conducted through the OpaVote online platform for all members of the Queer Equity Network present at the meeting. Eligible voters and nominees must be SUPRA members and postgraduate students of the University of Sydney, as well as queer-identifying.
