Semester 2 results will be published on Wednesday 17 December 2025. We wish all coursework students the best of luck with your results!
Understanding your results
Check out the University’s Guide to grades. It explains all the results as well as what to do if you have a missing or incomplete result.
Can’t view your results?
You might not be able to view your grades if your record has a sanction. Sanctions are usually due to unpaid tuition fees, library fines or outstanding University accommodation fees.
Results incomplete?
Your results might display as ‘incomplete’ (IC, RI) if you submitted work late, applied for special consideration, or if you will sit an exam in the replacement exam period.
Your result might display as ‘incomplete’ (J2) if you have:
- a pending Notice of Alleged Misconduct (NOAM)
- a pending academic integrity issue.
If you receive an IC, RI or J2 result and don’t know why, you can contact our professional caseworkers for help.

How to appeal your grade

You have 15 working days to submit your appeal. For results published on Wednesday 17 December 2025, the deadline to begin your Stage 1 appeal is Thursday 22 January 2026.

What about the end-of-year break?
The University shuts down at 5pm, Friday 19 December 2025 and reopens on Tuesday 6 January 2026.
These shutdown days do not count towards any appeal, academic dishonesty or Show Good Cause deadlines.
The University won’t expect you to respond during this period. Don’t feel pressured to respond to any allegation or process without seeking advice.
SUPRA will be closed during this period, but our caseworkers will be available from Tuesday 6 January 2026.
Appeal or complaint?
It can be confusing to know whether you want to lodge an appeal or make a complaint.
An academic appeal allows you to challenge a specific academic decision, such as a grade, or the outcome of a special consideration application. A successful academic appeal is the only way to change your grade.
A complaint is a way to raise an issue with the faculty or the University over matters such as discrimination, harassment, or an issue with the quality of teaching or assessment. You have 12 months to raise a complaint, though this has some flexibility depending on your circumstances.

Can I discontinue a failed unit?
If you experienced serious illness or misadventure (such as a death in your immediate family, eviction, or legal issues) during the semester, and you were affected for an extended period, you can apply for late discontinuation under special circumstances.
If your application is approved, you will receive a DC grade. A DC grade does not count as a fail grade, it doesn’t affect your Weighted Average Mark, and you will receive a fee refund or remission for the unit.
You have 12 months to apply for a late DC. It’s important to get advice from a SUPRA caseworker on your application, because the University has strict requirements for late DC documentation. You only get one opportunity for appeal, so it’s better to take your time, get advice and make sure your application is as strong as possible before submitting.
Contact our professional caseworkers for help with your application.
Academic integrity breach or misconduct

If you have received a Notice of Alleged Misconduct (NOAM) throughout the year, your grades may be displayed as RI (Results Incomplete), or your record may have sanctions applied. You may not be able to view your results at all. This can be quite difficult for students, particularly because misconduct cases can take a long time to be processed by the Student Affairs Unit.
If you have special circumstances and need to view your results urgently, contact our caseworkers for advice.
Show Good Cause
If you have been asked to Show Good Cause, or worry that you will be, one of our caseworkers will be able to advise and assist you. Contact us for help.
Read our Show Good Cause information to understand the process and begin drafting your response.
Be wary of ‘agents’ charging fees!
Students are sometimes approached by ‘agents’ offering to help with academic appeals and other university processes. These services are often extremely expensive!
SUPRA provides free, independent advice and support to all postgrad students for welfare and University matters. Our caseworkers are experts on University policies and procedures. We can support you to write documents, review student declarations, and act as your support person throughout University processes, and many more issues you might have.
We provide this service free of charge and will never ask you for money. Contact us for help.
