SUPRA Council General Election 2025–26
The General Election is the main election to instate thirty-one (31) General Councillors. The General Election period for 2025 began at 9am, Wednesday 5 March 2025, with the opening of nominations. Polling opened at 9am, Tuesday 1 April 2025 and closed at 5pm, Thursday 17 April 2025. The elected candidates were announced on Sunday 20 April 2025. Those elected to council begin their terms on Tuesday 1 July 2025 and continue until Tuesday 30 June 2026, or until they resign from council.

The Returning Officer’s report on the General Election will be delivered at the SUPRA Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday 12 May 2025.
The Councillors-Elect for 2025–26 will meet to elect their Office Bearers on Monday 19 May 2025.

SUPRA equity officer elections
SUPRA coordinates 6 equity networks for postgraduate students at the University of Sydney, to support their specific equity needs within the University. Each equity network is coordinated by the equity officer elected by the network.
Equity officer elections are run autonomously by each network and are not part of the SUPRA General Election. Find out more about our student equity networks.

Equity election results
Congratulations to the following postgrads, who were elected as SUPRA equity officers for the 2025–26 term:

- International Students’ Officer: Dihao (Amper) Zhu
- Queer Officer: Terry Yu
- Satellite Campus Officer: Da Eun (Irene) Lee
- Women’s Officer: Yang Yang.
These Officers will begin their terms on Tuesday 1 July 2025.
