On Wednesday 16 April, a community outreach event was hosted to promote environmentally conscious habits among postgraduate students at the University of Sydney. Held at Taste Baguette cafe, located in the New Law Annex Building, the event encouraged students to bring their own reusable mugs or KeepCups in exchange for a free coffee. The initiative was aimed at raising awareness about single-use waste and promoting simple lifestyle changes to reduce environmental impact.

This event was made possible through the support of the SUPRA Social Impact Grant, which was primarily used to fund the coffees distributed to students. A structured voucher system was used to track and account for each coffee redeemed, ensuring transparency and responsible use of funds. This collaboration between the project team and the cafe was smooth and effective, ensuring a positive and meaningful experience for all involved.

The event received enthusiastic participation from the student community, with an estimated 170 students attending the event over the 5-hour period.
