In October 2024, SUPRA made recommendations to the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) that all students should be included in the transport concession scheme. IPART listened and recommended that all students should have access to concession cards.
After our second petition was delivered to the NSW Legislative Assembly in November 2025, the Minister for Transport has finally committed to review IPART’s recommendation and investigate the expansion of the transport concession scheme.
This commitment is absolutely huge for the campaign for fair transport concessions for part-time and international students.
