SUPRA had a stall for R U OK? Day and collaborated with Sydney Local Health District to hand out mental health handbooks and freebies. We talked with our peers, shared our experiences, and discussed coping strategies for stress and other mental health challenges. SUPRA equity officers also let students know about SUPRA wellness events and resources.

Here are also some of our tips to cope with stress:

  • Acknowledge how you are feeling
  • Engage in active (not avoidant) coping
  • Switch off sometimes
  • Reach out for help

And talk with your SUPRA peers and get check-ins at any time!

We shouldn’t underestimate the value of regular check-ins because they allow us to acknowledge the problems and obstacles we face and provide love and support to those struggling.
