On 27 May, the SUPRA HDR Network, SUPRA Queer Network and the University of Sydney Pride Network hosted the Pride in Research seminar at the Susan Wakil Health Building.

The seminar featured presentations from 3 queer HDR students from different disciplines, followed by discussions on queer research, visibility, lived experience and inclusion within academia. The event brought together HDR students, staff and members of the LGBTQIA+ community in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment, to engage in conversations around research, identity and student experience at the University.

An informal networking session was held following the presentations and discussion, with snacks provided. About 25 participants joined the event, both in-person and online.

SUPRA would like to thank the University of Sydney Pride Network and all speakers, volunteers and attendees for supporting the event.
