If you’re working a casual or part‑time job while studying, there’s a new rule about superannuation (super) you should know about!

From 1 July 2026, employers will need to pay your super at the same time as your wages, rather than every 3 months. This means your super contributions will reach your nominated superannuation fund within 7 business days of each payday, helping your balance grow more consistently.

You’ll still receive the same amount of super (currently 12% of your ordinary earnings), but it will be deposited more frequently.
