The University recently made changes to the Academic Integrity Policy to require that students keep assignment drafts.

Students are now expected to keep all draft assessments for at least 1 year after submitting the final version.

If you receive an allegation of plagiarism, collusion or improper use of AI, you may be required to provide your draft assignment. If you have not kept any drafts, you may find it harder to respond to an allegation.

You should save all your drafts and also save a backup in a different location. Emailing drafts to yourself, and saving backups to your University OneDrive account can be a good way to ensure you don’t lose drafts.
