To get your bond back at the end of your tenancy, firstly make sure you leave the property in a reasonably clean condition (at least as clean as it was when you began your tenancy). As soon as you return your keys to your landlord or real estate agent, claim your bond back via Rental Bonds Online, or fill out a paper bond claim and submit it at Service NSW.
Don’t wait for your landlord to start the process for you – this makes you vulnerable to unlawful fees and charges.
