Women’s Network
The Postgraduate Women’s Network is made up of members of SUPRA who identify as women.
Being a woman and a postgraduate can present many challenges. The Postgraduate Women’s Network is a social, academic, and policy-support network run by and comprising women-identifying postgraduates at the University of Sydney. SUPRA acknowledges that women often face numerous barriers in accessing and completing higher education, including the experiences of sexism within the University and fewer opportunities.
SUPRA is committed to supporting women and ensuring your postgraduate experience is as enjoyable and hassle-free as possible. The network fosters personal and professional growth through initiatives such as creative DIY workshops and career development programs tailored to the needs of female postgraduates. It also advocates for gender equality and safety on campus, working to identify and address the challenges women face in higher education.
