Satellite Campus Network
The Satellite Campus Collective is made up of members of SUPRA that do not attend courses or undertake research at the main University of Sydney Camperdown/Darlington Campus.
If you are a postgrad studying at a satellite campus, SUPRA acknowledges the diverse and unique challenges that you may be presented with. These may be social, relocation, access to the University’s academic support, or access to facilities.
The aim of this portfolio is to bridge the gap between postgraduates on main campus and the thousands located across Australia. This is challenging, however the more postgraduates studying at satellite campuses who connect through SUPRA, the easier this will be and the stronger the Network will become.
Satellite Campus Officer – Ahjeong Yoo
The Satellite Campus Officer is responsible for representing students in the Satellite Campus Network and advocating on their behalf.
Hi, I’m Ahjeong, your Satellite Campus Officer. I’m a current student studying Doctor of Dental Medicine and my purpose in SUPRA is to be a community builder.
I believe it’s the people and mentors who make the student experience what it is. Especially for those of us whose studies and research are based outside of the main campus, it’s even more important.
I hope that in my time in SUPRA I can help create a warm environment where everyone studying at satellite campuses is able to bring out their full potential and feel included.
I also hope to bring up our concerns to the wider university leadership and community, and make sure that our voices are heard all the way from the CBD campus to our Camden campus.
When there’s a chance, I love to read, go on a hike or tend to my plants.
