Volunteer opportunity – Red Cross on ANZAC Day

The Red Cross are asking for volunteers to assist with a free refreshments tent in Sydney Hyde Park on ANZAC Day – Tuesday 25 April 2023.

Volunteers will assist with set-up, serving tea and coffee, and packing up at the end of the day. Shifts are 1.5 – 3 hours long, depending on time of day.

• Morning shift: from 7.15am to 10.30am
• Morning shift: from 10.00am to 12.30pm
• Afternoon shift: from 12.00pm (midday) to 2.30pm
• Afternoon shift: from 2.00pm to 3.30pm.

ANZAC Day is a national holiday to remember all Australians who have served and died in war and on operational service. There will be a service at dawn at Martin Place, a march through the city, followed by a commemoration service in Hyde Park.
