If you tutor primary or high school students, it is essential that you have a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Many private tutors across NSW are either working with an expired WWCC, or never obtained one at all. Even if the platform you advertise your tutoring services on doesn’t ask to verify your WWCC status, having your WWCC clearance is still legally required.
Working without a valid WWCC carries significant penalties, which in turn can impact on your student visa or future employment.
