Job scams are targeting university students. Scams often directly target international students by recruiting in students’ first languages, and promising ways to work beyond student visa work caps.

How to identify a job scam: ‘recruiters’ will often contact you on WhatsApp or similar platforms, with no knowledge of your work experience. If the job seems too good to be true (e.g. very high pay for low hours, working from home) it’s probably a scam. If you’re not sure, don’t send any money or personal details – speak to one of our caseworkers to get advice first.
