In response to the COVID-19 pandemic the University has created a COVID-19 tuition fee waiver scheme that will ensure all international HDR students whose studies were affected by the pandemic will receive a tuition fee offset for 1 research period, subject to meeting progress requirements.
Eligibility:

The waiver is for international HDR students.

You must have been enrolled or suspended in R1 (Jan) and/or RP2 (March) 2020.

You can be on a scholarship or self-funded.
To apply, email HDRAC at hdrac.scholarships@sydney.edu.au with ‘COVID-19 tuition fee waiver’ in the subject line. The scheme will finish on 30 June 2023.
If you began your studies after March 2020, have encountered delays due to the pandemic, and need an extension to submit your thesis this year, we encourage you to consult with one of our caseworkers for guidance and support.
