SUPRA is hosting an online welcome event for all HDR candidates at Usyd. Experienced PhD candidates on SUPRA Council will share their experience of how to get connected with the HDR community, how to manage research milestones and how to keep HDR life healthy. This interactive session will also cover a range of candidature support available exclusively to all HDR students. Topics covered will be:

• Introducing your space and work; consistency in your research; research milestones; Progress Review; thesis – Lindsay Mccabe (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Officer)
• HDR candidature experience: What makes an enriched HDR experience at Usyd – Yuning Zhang (Education Officer)
• Introducing your space and work: diversity, inclusion and accepting differences – Joseph Black (Queer Officer)
• Mental health and wellbeing disability support – Gemma Lucy Smart (Deputy Disabilities Officer and Deputy HDR Students’ Officer)
• International student life on campus – Michelle Wang (SUPRA Councillor)
